It is with great sadness and much love that we say good bye to Grant. On March 13, 2015 Grant King of Lloydminster, Alberta passed away at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 63 years, Billielu; two sons, Bill (Judy) and David; grandchildren, Bradley, Jeffrey and Jesse; brother, Ed (Joan) and sister, Jule as well as numerous other family.
Grant's successful career was in the oil industry, first with Husky Oil in Lloydminster, then with Gibsons Energy in Edmonton and Calgary. He ended his career as President and CEO of Gibsons Energy. Retiring in 1995 they moved back to Lloydminster.
He was a loving husband, a proud father and grandfather and a trusted friend. He was happiest when outdoors and took great joy in fishing, hunting and being with friends.
