I got to know Albert at our church in North Battleford. Right from the beginning, he remembered my name and would call me by that every time we talked and shook hands. We had some good chates after church some times when he shared a few stories with me. He was an inspiration as he was determined to attend church even with difficulty walking and finally began using his walker but it wasn't his favourite thing and he had put if off for a long time, just using his cane. I encouraged him to go ahead and use it at church as it would not be in the way of anyone and would be an asset to him. As long as he was able, he was there, regardless of the weather. A fine gentleman!

When Albert attended church at our church I always enjoyed visiting with him and also several visits in his home. He had a persistent spirit and always encouraged me both in faith and life. He loved his family and life. He also loved to kill gophers and was very good at it. The number of gophers he killed on our acreage will always be a record that I am sure will never be broken! Look forward to seeing you in heaven restored Albert

Our deepest sympathy to all of Albert's family. He was a man of deep faith and we will treasure the time we had with him. He was an inspiration to our whole family and we will miss him greatly. Know that he loved you all deeply and prayed for his grandchildren daily.. He shelled pea's, tipped beans, had wiener roasts and went gopher hunting with us last summer. Thank you Esther for the wonderful care you gave him especially this last year! God Bless you!
