Joyce, we were saddened to hear of Doug's passing. I remember his dedication to the Lions Club and I really enjoyed on working difference events with him. I think his favorite when I was in the club was of him organizing the Grey Cup raffle. He will be missed

We didn't know Doug well but certainly appreciated him, his smile and sincerity when he would accompany you out to do services for us. And we felt for both of you as we watched his health fail him. We want to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to all family members and friends who are grieving at this time. It’s hard to know what to say at times like this, but please find comfort in what it says at John 5:28&29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.” Imagine the joy of welcoming our loved ones who will be resurrected back to life as promised in that bible verse. Till then, it's like they are “sleeping.” (Please read John 11:11-14) Soon, the earth will be a place where death, and the tears, pain, and sorrow will be a thing of the past.
