Mark enjoyed his childhood years in McLaughlin with his many friends riding motorbikes and hanging out at the Malka Farm.
Tina says that they met the first time when Mark was 14 and she was 12!!
His first car was a 1974 Chevy Nova which he totally rebuilt & was his pride and joy. And ,Tina tells The story that one day Mark came out to visit her at the farm with his Nova and when he turned into the driveway he lost his muffler, which made him mad. He went into the Barn to get some tools and a cat walked all over his car. Which made him mad. He walked into the barn to help milk cows but the smell drove him back outside where he got sick!! Such a city boy then!
Mark married Tina in 1987 after which the Nova disappeared when Travis arrived in 1989. Mark being the responsible father traded if for a Pontiac Parisienne.
Their second son Tanner arrived in 1991, which completed the family with two active boys.
Marked worked in the oil field from an early age to the time of his passing.
They moved out to the acreage in 1999 and steadily made improvements over the years to build it up to the beautiful property we see today.
There are so many stories tell about the antics of raising two boys on a acreage where there is Lots of room to Quad, Motorbike, Sno Mobile & RC Race that include, broken arms, wrists, Fractures, deep cuts and scrapes and we're just talking about Mark! Although all three of them had their share.
Mark loved his family and was always trying to get them together, one memorable occasion was a family reunion he hosted at his acreage a few years ago. We can still see him now, Smoke in one hand, Beer in the other smiling that YES! HE HAD DONE IT gotten everyone together for a weekend of Fund, Food & Crazy Fireworks!!
One other occasion was when he managed to find a horse drawn wagon for a crisp winter night of food, fun wagon rides for everyone including yes more crazy fireworks.
Mark enjoyed working on Cars, going to Drag Races with his buddies, playing Golf and hosting Corn roasts & bon fires at the acreage.
He took great pride in keeping up the acreage and loved the quiet rural life.
Mark is deeply loved by all his family, and he loved all of them too. When Mark gave you one of his bear hugs you knew your were loved.
He will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
