I was so saddened by Lucille's death, and so was my son, Daniel, who was also very close to her when she lived in La Ronge and he was just a boy. I think Lucille deeply touched everyone who knew her. She was such an amazing listener and had such gentle wisdom & teachings, and positive energy to share. She would be honest about challenges she had encountered in her life, but in such a way to say that we can all learn and overcome these challenges to become stronger human beings, even without becoming bitter. To see her and Daniel interact, you would never know there were several decades difference in age between them. Lucille was like that...able to interact with such respect and acceptance, and often with sparkling humour, with such a variety of people. We'll miss you, Lucille, but you'll be with us in so many ways...forever.

I was saddened to hear of Lucelle's death. I got to know her briefly and enjoyed several deeply spirited conversations with her. I missed Lucelle at the Culture Camp this summer. She had an infectious sense of humour and beautiful spirit.

So very sorry to hear of Lucille's passing. We shared lots of laughs and fun at high school in Kitscoty and also fun times on the Crichton farm, riding horses and generally just being giggly 16 yr old girls. She was a great friend and will be missed by everyone.
