BIOGRAPHY
GRAHAM ~ Leslie Russell Graham passed away in Lloydminster on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the age of 89 years.
Leslie will be sadly missed by three daughters: Bev and Jim Tradewell, Bonnie O'Grady and Raymond Forrest, Janis and Dean Walde; son John and Sheila Graham; eleven grandchildren: Jason and Kim Tradewell, Jamie Tradewell, Celina and Razeen Khan, Michael and Glenda O'Grady, Scarlett and Jim Zinger, Erica O'Grady, Tammy Graham, Ryan and Rochelle Graham, Regan and Aaron Graham, Matthew and Jill Walde, Blake Walde and fiancé Arischa; twelve great grandchildren; brother Bill Graham; sister Olive Munroe; brother-in-law George Edwards; sisters-in-law: Ruth Graham and Peggy Graham as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Leslie was predeceased by his wife Margaret Graham; brothers: Harold and wife Allison Graham, Harry Graham; sister Marjorie and husband Elmer Loy; brothers-in-law: Jack Munroe, Glenn and wife Shirley Gordon and sister-in-law Bernice Edwards.
The funeral service was conducted from the Marsden Community Hall, Marsden, Saskatchewan on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. with Clifford Scott officiating.
The eulogy was given by Dean Walde.
The hymns sung were "In The Garden", "There'll Be Peace In The Valley", "Rock Of Ages" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" accompanied on the organ by Margaret Chibri.
The honorary pallbearers were All Those Who Shared In His Life.
The interment was held in the Brady Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
CARD OF THANKS
As a family we send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kerlis for his many years of caring for Dad and for helping Dad and us all through to the end. We will be eternally grateful for your wonderful care and compassion. You are truly a wonderful doctor. To Brenda Servold and to all the wonderful nurses in Lloydminster Hospital who helped care for Dad through this time and many, many times previous. Thank you. We will never forget the terrific care you have given Dad, and the support you gave his family. Thank you also to the ambulance staff and emergency room staff who cared for Dad many times. You do a terrific job.
It was so wonderful to see the many, many people who came out to dad's funeral on that terribly stormy day, to be with us and to remember Dad. Thank you so much. Thank you to Clifford Scott for officiating, it meant a lot to us. Thank you to Dean Walde for doing the eulogy on behalf of the family, you did a great job. Our thanks also to organist Margaret Chibri and to the choir for coming out in the storm and being there. Thank you to the Artland Ladies for doing the lunch and to everyone who sent flowers, cards and made donations. Thank you everyone who made calls to family, we appreciate them so much. Thank you Lorne Sherwood for the 'wooden box'. Dad would have been pleased.
A special thank you also to the 'Legion' boys for coming out and being a part of Dad's service. It would have meant a lot to him and we appreciated it so much.
Thank you to the staff at Pioneer Lodge for the care and support shown to Dad. Thank you to Gordon Marlatt for your wonderful companionship and support of Dad, and thank you to his many, many friends in Pioneer Lodge.
Thank you to Dave McCaw, his staff and family at McCaw Funeral Services for your wonderful support, your professionalism and your compassion.
Dad is now at peace. He is re-united with his beautiful 'redhead'...his wife, our mother Margaret. Mom and Dad always said 'laughter is the best medicine'...we, and all who knew them will remember the many, many stories and memories of fun and laughter! That is what he would want!
