POLLARD ~ Betty June Pollard passed away at the Jubilee Home, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the age of 87 years. Betty leaves to mourn her passing: two sons: Larry (Verna) Pollard and Dale (Marie) Pollard; five daughters: Kathy (Roy) Noble, Sylvia (Wayne) Passmore, Wendy Minish, Marilyn (Jim) Donald and Shelley Brassington; 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Sharonne) Ash; sister, Margaret (Len) Patton; sisters-in-law: Pearl Freimark, Noreen Graham, Margaret Johnson, Ann Pollard and Elene Pollard; brothers-in-law: Joe Pollard and Orville Pollard. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Jud Pollard; mother, Sadie Smith; father, Fred Tuckwood; brother, John Ash; sister, Evelyn Ash; son-in-law, Fred Minish; brothers-in-law: Ivan, Allan and Edwin Pollard, Tony Graham, Sunny Thompson, Harvey Johnson and Alfred Freimark; and sisters-in-law: Barb Ash, Alma, Ruth, Phyllis and Francis Pollard. The Memorial Service for Betty was conducted from the Stockade Convention Centre, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Carol Mohrbutter officiating. The eulogy was given by Teira Thomson and Laurie Pollard. Pam Minish and Randy Smith performed a duet, "Just A Closer Walk With Thee." The hymns sung were, "How Great Thou Art" and "In The Garden" accompanied by Irene Knowlson. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Cancer Society. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The family of the late Betty Pollard wishes to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to relatives and friends for he love, kindness and support extended to us in the recent loss of our Mom and Grandma. A sincere thank-you to Dr. Kerlis, Dr. Rogers and Dr. Kostiuk for looking after Mom's medical needs over the years. A special thank-you to the staff at the Jubilee Home who responded to Mom's needs and kept her comfortable in her final days. The care and respect they showed us as a family was truly appreciated and comforting. Thank-you to the staff at the Pioneer, Point West and the Jubilee Home for the kindness, care and support you gave Mom over the last seven years. A warm thank-you to Carol Mohrbutter for her comforting words and prayers which truly expressed Mom's life. Thank-you to Irene Knowlson for playing at the service. A special thank-you to Pam and her Dad, Randy, accompanied by Ken French on guitar, for doing an amazing job of "Just A Closer Walk With Thee." A gracious thank-you Teira and Laurie for giving the wonderful tribute to their Grandma. A job well done! A warm sincere thank-you to Glenn McCaw and his staff for all the arrangements, so thoughtfully and professionally done. Sincere thanks to those who made donations, sent cards, flowers, brought food, made calls or visits to our homes. Thank-you each and everyone for being there for us, your support will never be forgotten.
