As a young child, while visiting Lloydminister, we would always visit Aunty Doraine at her place of work. The Pop Shop! We would be given a special tour to see how the pop was made and bottled! This process was very interesting to a child. Of course we also got to take a bottle of pop with us :). Aunty Doraine was always patient and full of smiles for us. My favorite place in Lloyd was always to play with my cousins Penny & Lisa at their moms , Aunty Doraines! You will be forever missed here by those who love you but I know you are not alone. You are now with Uncle Larry, Grandpa & Grandma, Uncle Stan and my precious Mom. Take care until we meet again.
Love Louise

Doraine was a very special part of my life through most of my teenage years. She welcomed me to her family and was like a second mother to me. She taught me how to play crib and made me many delicious meals, she will always hold a special place in my heart. I have fond memories of our times together watching Dallas in the 80's, the series is on TV again and the music reminds me of our time together. She always had a big smile and loved her family unconditionally.
Love Always,
Cindy

Grandma was an amazing lady. She loved all of us so much! And I have so many great memories of her.
When we were little, we always knew that Grandma kept her crisper in her fridge stocked with lots of treats
for us, such as chocolate bars and Ruffle cookies. She spoiled us rotten. When we went to Grandma and Grandpa's,
I never ever remember getting in any sort of trouble, she always let us be crazy, playful kids, and we loved that. Grandma
and Grandpa were always so young at heart, and very fun to be around.
As I got older, I enjoyed going to Grandma's, we had great conversations, lots of laughs and of course a card game or two(which, she also may have cheated every now and then).
Grandma always knew what was going on in all of our lives, even if you hadn't spoken to her in awhile, she knew what you had been up to. And she loved telling you that too. She gave me lots of good advice, and listened to me many times when I needed to talk.
When she met my husband the first time, I was nervous, because if Grandma didn't like him, he'd know it right away! We played cards, and she caught him cheating! She loved him instantly.
She loved seeing me pregnant, and couldn't wait until the next time I'd see her and my belly was even bigger than before. I remember watching her hold my son for the first time, and how amazing it was to see her with him. So proud and full of love. And when I would tell her stories of mischievous things Kesler had done, she would giggle and laugh and say, he's just like you were! She gave me good advice when I didn't know what to do at times, being a first time mom. And she was always right.
It felt good to be around Grandma. You always knew where you stood with her, she was open and honest, and wasn't afraid to tell you exactly what she thought. Grandma was mischievous, she loved to laugh, she had a zest for life and she loved us all unconditionally. Grandma gave the best hugs, and you could feel how much she loved you, you could see it in her eyes. I will miss her so much, and I will miss seeing that great big smile, and her waving until I drove away....telling me not to wait so long until I come back to see her again....

Ever since we were little, our family loved to play all types of board and card games. It was a great form of entertainment for us all. When Mom and Dad played cards together, sometimes they would each try to cheat. Sometimes cards would end up in the garbage, or they would chase each other around the table. When Dad passed away, Mom would pull the same tricks on us. She and I would play Uno every time I went to visit her. She would cheat, and if I didn't catch her at the time, she would wait till the hand was done, and say "Look, I cheated and you didn't even see it" and then laugh. It made for very interesting games, I will miss that so much. Love you Mom.
