I am so sorry that we missed Vesta's funeral. Wanted to come and share the stories of her incredible life with all of you. Makes me sad that our parents are disappearing off this old earth, they were a tough generation, strong, stable and sensible. You could count on them. God Bless all you family members! From Lyle and myself, our condolences!

Gramma Vesta " you and Blair eat those pancakes like pair of hound dogs. You don't even chew the food"
Gramma vesta, before Grandpas funeral she set down all of the grandchildren and said "I want you all to think of a special memory of Grandpa and hold it close to your heart. "
Grandma's near death experience not long after Gramdpa died where she said she saw Grandpa and started to reach out for his outstretched hand. But then she looked back and saw Blair and said to Grandpa "I can't come yet"
Gramma getting up first every day of The week when they were still on the farm making breakfast lunches and supper but on Sunday she got to sleep in because grandpa made cream of wheat for breakfast Sunday I never liked but it was Granpas favorite.
She made poor mans soup. Homemade buns at thanksgiving. It seemed like she was always in that kitchen making meals or puff wheat cake for grandchildren. My all time favourite was homemade Toffee.
When ever grandpa came in for a meal he always went straight To Gramma an gave her a love tap on the bottom and said what's for lunch Tubby. That was his endearing term for her. And how he said he loved her
