I remember when we were very young, Kathy and my sister and I were told not to go into this field with cows by our Grandma La Rose . Well, of course we never listened. So about half way into the field, sure enough ,the cows came over towards us. I being from the farm and not scared, said Oh we`ll be okay they are just cows! Well unbeknown to us there was a Bull in amongst the cows, and of course what bulls do best is chase any intruders that get mixed in with his herd. Well we took to running and Your ``Mom Kathy``shimmied up a tree and would not come down. My sister Sue and I made it to the fence and Katy was still in the tree, screaming and yelling. We sat for a long time waiting for the bull to leave, with no luck, As luck would have it, our Grandpa La Rose heard Kathy yelling from the house and came looking for us! Thank goodness! Grandpa saved Kathy. We were glad it was Grandpa La Rose too because he never ever gave us heck. If it was my Mom that would be another story WE got to go to Grandma`s for tea and cookies. Despite that ordeal we had, Kathy continued to come and visit us. I will always cherish her memories.
