Obituary of Anton Myer

MYER ~ Anton "Tony" Korbin Myer of Maidstone passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Tony was born on July 19, 1938 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan to Maria and Korbinian Myer. Tony will be sadly missed by: his loving wife of 34 years, Lois; daughter, Anita Myer and her fiancee Levi; two sons, Korbin (Megan); and Stephen (Christine); three grandchildren, Annalise, Jayce and Karli; two sisters, Elsie (Cecil) Skolrood and Tillie (Bob) Belanger; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. The funeral service was conducted from Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Maidstone on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Greg Elder officiating. The eulogy was given by Harold Oddan. Readers were Cindy Dickie and Naomi Commandeur. The organist was Vince Gerlinsky. Honorary Bearers were All Tony's Friends and Neighbors. Active Pallbearers were: Stephen Danychuk, Gary Johner, Raymond Rodh, Ronald Rodh, Roger Skolrood and Les Smith. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family wishes to thank the First Responders, R.C.M.P., Ambulance Attendants and Victim Services for their care at the time of Tony's passing. Thanks to Father Greg Elder for the service, organist Vince Gerlinsky, the Pallbearers and McCaw Funeral Service. Thank you to the Ladies Alter Society and Word Church ladies for the lovely lunch, and to the Maidstone Health Care Auxiliary for the fruit tray. Thanks to Harold Oddan for the eulogy presentation. Thank you to everyone for the visits, phone calls, food brought to our homes, for the cards, flowers and donations. Your kindness is appreciated.
