My Mother kept a garden.
A garden of the heart;
she planted all the good things,
that gave my life it's start.
She turned me to the sunshine,
and encouraged me to dream:
fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self-esteem.
And when the winds and rains came,
she protected me enough;
but not too much, she knew I'd need
to stand up strong and tough.
Her constant good example,
always taught me right from wrong;
markers for my pathway
to last my whole life long.
I am my Mother's garden,
I am her legacy.
And I hope today she feels the love,
Reflected back from me.**************************
This is was our Mother.
She gave us life.
She gave us love.
She gave us each other.

First my condolences to the Berry family...I know Eileen's passing was really such a tragic occurrence - way too soon! Your mother, grandmother and great grandmother will be so dearly missed. Eileen was a great friend to me - she treated me like a friend AND even a daughter sometimes and I was always grateful for that. I will miss the chatting and laughing around the kitchen table and I will so miss the trips to the Cree with Mike, Bill, Sara, and Louise - those occasions were always so much fun and I know Eileen always had a terrific time. I will always have fond memories of Eileen and I am so sincerely saddened by her loss. “What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived.
