I first met Mrs. Buckingham at a music recital of my granddaughter. I liked her instantly ...and we had a good visit and was so glad to have known her.. in talking to her found out that it really is a small world after all ... to find out she taught once at the school my mother attended...!!! That year was a reunion happening and I was glad to put her in contact with my Aunt so she could attend that year.. ! In my opinion Mrs. Buckingham was a genuine lady and humble and I can think of so many positive things to say about her personality..a very sincere , real person and someone I felt so comfortable talking with...A person like her is a rare find these days....she will be missed and Heaven is richer for her being there!

Dear Jean, Don and families - I just got back from the lake and heard about the passing of your mom. She was one of my favourite teachers and I always had a good visit with her wherever I saw her. She always had a hug and was so interested in all that was happening. The last time I saw her I spent a good half hour with her and I was supposed to go and have coffee with her this summer - she said she had written a book and I was going to buy one from her. I grew up listening to her stories about you two. She was truly a remarkable and special lady with a twinkle in her eye and lovely smile. She will be missed by many and I am so sorry I missed her service. May you remember only the good parts and your hearts be lightened by these memories

Mrs. Buckingham was both my husband & my Gr. 5 teacher in Marwayne. I distinctly remember on one occasion, after being frustrated by our class' behaviour she scolded us in French. She would never transulate it for us but I have a pretty good idea what it meant. LOL I had a really nice visit with her at the Lloyd Ladies Bonspiel last winter. She was a sharp as a tack. May your precious memories of a special lady bring a smile to your face & bring you peace of mind & heart.
