Obituary of Edward Paysen

Edward Johannes Freidrich Paysen was born in Central Butte, Saskatchewan on March 4, 1919 to John and Barbra Paysen. He passed away on Sunday, August 7 at the age of 92 years in Jubilee Home at Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 63 years, Mary of Lloydminster; son Dean and Donna Paysen of Sherwood Park; daughter Donna and John Brown of Paradise Valley; grandchildren: Riley and Jody Paysen of Sherwood Park, Kyla and Nevin Purser of Lloydminster, Holly and Kody Lange of Lloydminster, Klay, Kole and Konnor Brown of Paradise Valley; three great grandchildren: Mataya Paysen, Carys Purser, Leah Lange; sister Martha and Ted Hoover of Richmond, British Columbia; sister-in-law Edna Paysen of Central Butte, Saskatchewan as well as many nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his sisters: Elise and Boyd Coulson, Emma Curry, Erna and Harry Foster, Elsie; brothers: Ernie and Werner. Ed and Mary were married at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Central Butte, Saskatchewan on October 26, 1947. They resided on the farm for two years and then moved into Moose Jaw due to Ed's health. Ed and Mary were happily married for 63 years. Ed enjoyed a variety of sports as a participant and mostly as a spectator in later years. He always enjoyed playing cards and any social activity with friends and family. A memorial service will be held at Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on August 20th at 1:00 P.M. with lunch to follow. An interment will be held after the lunch at Redeemer Lutheran Church Cemetery south of Central Butte, Saskatchewan. Memorial donations can be made to the Equipment Fund at Jubilee Home, 3902 - 45 Avenue, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan S9V 1Z2 where Ed lived out his final days. He will be dearly missed by all.
