Obituary of Paul Katzmarzyk

Paul Katzmarzyk passed away peacefully in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Center on Thursday, September 15, 2004 at the age of 94 years.
Paul is survived by: his loving wife Joyce of 66 years; three daughters Lorna (John) Misiak, Linda (Ken) Papley, Judy (Stan) Lafoy, one son Roy (Anne), one daughter-in-law Marjory Katzmarzyk, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two brothers Stanley and Raymond, two sisters Martha and Kay as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his eldest son John on November 26, 1980, son-in-law Gary May 1987, three brothers and two sisters.
The funeral service for Paul was conducted from the Marwayne Community Hall on Saturday, September 17 at 11 A.M. with Reverend Bob Aldrich officiating.
The eulogy was given by Roy Katzmarzyk.
The pianited was Mrs. Ella Kent, the soloists were Ella Kent and Stephanie Naylor, the hymn The Old Rugged Cross, was sung.
Honorary pallbearers were all those in attendance.
The active pallbearers were his Grandchildren - Susan, Dwight, Trent, Peter, Paula, Warren, Rhonda, Wade, Donna, Cheryl, Brenda, Cindy and David.
Interment followed the service in the Marwayne Cemetery.
Paul had immigrated to Canada in 1928 and was an active member of the Marwayne community for many years. He farmed in the Stretton area, before retiring to Marwayne in 1980. He will be fondly remembered for his love of home and family and his dedication to the farm.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.
