Obituary of Vera Tallon

B I O G R A P H Y TALLON: Vera Tallon passed away in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the age of 89 years. Vera Tallon is survived by: three daughters: Margaret and her husband David Choma of Edmonton and their daughter Ashlee; Frances Tallon of Edmonton and her son Geoffrey and his friend Elaine; Cathy and her husband Guy Oswell of Lloydminster and their son Robert and his wife Natalie; one son Edward Tallon and his wife Brenda of Lloydminster and their daughter Michelle and her husband Clayton and their children Devon and Tailyn. Vera was predeceased by one granddaughter Nicole; her husband Norman and her sister Elsie. The memorial service for Vera was conducted from St. John’s Anglican Church, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Monday, October 17, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Canon David Turvey officiating. Hymns sung were “Onward Christian Soldiers,” and “Just A Closer Walk With Thee,” accompanied on the organ by Pat Skinner. A Legion Honor Guard was held. Active pallbearers were grandchildren. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family of Vera Tallon would like to thank Dr. Du Plooy, the staff of the Maidstone Hospital, and the staff of the Dr. Cooke Extended Care for their care of our mother. We would also like to thank the minister of the Anglican Church, Canon Turvey, and the organist, Pat Skinner. Thanks also to the Legion honorguard and the ladies for the wonderful lunch.
