BIOGRAPHY Davidson: Gordon Ernest Davidson of Paradise Valley, Alberta passed away in The Lloydminster Hospital on Thursday, November 24, 2005 at the age of 79 years. Gordon was born on May 14, 1926 in The Earlie District, Alberta. He is survived by his loving wife Irene; four children: Bruce (Bev) Davidson of Edmonton, Eleanor (Ray) Block of Fort McMurray, Greg (Maureen) Davidson of Cranbrook and Lana and Rick Watchel of Cold Lake; 12 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives. The funeral service for Gordon Davidson was conducted from The Paradise Valley Hall on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Gregg Peterson officiating. Ralph Magee gave the eulogy and Jill Davidson gave a Tribute from the Grandchildren. The hymns sung were: “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art” accompanied on the piano by Sandra Babcock. The Honorary Pallbearers were: everyone who shared in dad’s life. The Active Pallbearers were: Don Adams, Larry Ball, Tracy Ball, Cam Davidson, Paul Harrison, Travis Davidson, Mark Davidson and Chad Bilous. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family of Gordon Davidson would like to express heartfelt thanks to Pastor Peterson on his service. He showed much passion and conviction. Thanks to Pastor Ralph Magee for his eulogy to Gordon. Thanks to Jill Davidson who gave tribute to Grandpa from all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thanks to Sandra Babcock who played the piano. Many, many thanks to those who brought food, and flowers to the house in our time of sorrow. To the many who also phoned. Thanks to the ladies who served food after the funeral. To Glenn McCaw and staff at the funeral home. Thanks to the Doctor’s who saw and cared for Gordon. Thanks to the nurses at the Lloydminster Hospital who cared and looked after him. A big thanks to Home Care who was there all the time. In lieu of thank you cards, donations and flowers we will be making a donation to Lloydminster Hospital to the new CT Scanner in memory of Gordon Davidson. Thank you Irene Davidson & Family Donations may be made to the Paradise Valley Cemetery Fund or the Cross Cancer Clinic.
