Obituary of Alma Cowe

B I O G R A P H Y COWE: Alma was born February 29, 1924 and passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital on Monday, November 28, 2005 at the age of 81 years after a short battle with Cancer, at Alma’s request no funeral was held. Alma leaves behind: two daughters Linda Roth of Heisle, AB; Janice Cowe of Kitscoty; two sons: Richard Cowe and Todd Cowe both of Kitscoty; two sisters Mable and Cora; one brother Roy Gower and his wife Sharon; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Alma was predeceased by her husband James Cowe in 1974, one son James in 2004, four sisters and three brothers. A prayer service for Alma was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 4:00 P.M. with Reverend Bob Aldrich officiating. Hymns sung were “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art,” and “One Day At A Time,” accompanied on the organ by Donna Eyben. The Family of the late Alma Cowe would like to thank everybody that sent flowers, to Roy and Sharon who made trips to Edmonton and Lloydminster to see Mom. Special thanks to Dr. Naude, all the great nurses and staff on the 3rd floor of the Lloydminster Hospital, also to the Emergency, Ambulance Services and Edmonton Emergency at University Hospital. Thanks to all the doctors and nurses on the 5th Floor 5D3 University Hospital in Edmonton. Special thanks to Reverend Bob Aldrich for the kind words. Thank you to Donna Eyben for playing the organ, to all the ladies that sent us the great food and to Rae for having lunch ready after the prayer service.
