WHITING: Rose Catherine Whiting passed away in the Jubilee Home, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at the age of 90 years. Rose is survived by her son Don (Ruth) of Lloydminster; two grandchildren: Jason and Jennifer, two sisters-in-law, Mary Whiting of Lloydminster and Ann (Merle) Malin of Calgary, one brother-in-law Tom (Bette) Whiting of Edmonton and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her first husband Leonard Cundliffe in 1938, her husband Jack Whiting in 1977, and brother Elmer Campion 1960. She was also predeceased by brothers-in-law Bernard and Frank Whiting, Tony Hamlin and Steve Behm, and sisters-in-law Louise Behm and Joyce Whiting. The funeral service for Rose was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ross Plews officiating. The eulogy was given by Richard Davies. The hymns sung were “Amazing Grace,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” accompanied on the organ by Rosemary Almond. Special CD music “The Rose,” by Bette Midler was played during a powerpoint presentation. Active pallbearers were: Jack Roberton, John Aplin, Jason Whiting, Jennifer Whiting, Mac Creech and Harvey Davies. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks We wish to thank the staff at Jubilee Home for their wonderful care over the past five years.
