TREPTOW: Cynthia Marie Treptow passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the age of 43 years.
Cynthia Marie Treptow (Bender) was born in Goodsoil, Saskatchewan on February 24, 1963. She was the seventh daughter and twelfth child of Joe and Lynn Bender. She spent her early years playing school, church and generally having a good time with her siblings. This prepared her for her later callings after completing her schooling in Goodsoil.
Cynthia took the gifts and talents that the Lord gave her and shared them abundantly with all of us who had the pleasure of knowing her. She did not bury them in the ground as one did in the parable in the Bible but spent them wisely and multiplied them. Cynthias unconditional love was not only for her boys, Ron, Tobi, Blake and Dirk, but for all the little ones she took into her home and cared for as her own. We will all miss her talent for baking. No one will make beer cake or carrot cake like Cynthia, or her cookies and other treats she loved to share.
Cynthia was also gifted in sports. She played ball, curled and golfed. On our annual girls curling spiel in Lloydminster she always had a competitive edge but made anyone that played on her team feel special, no matter how many shots they missed. No one could keep up with her on the golf course and now that she got her hole in one she can compete with the best in heaven.
When Cynthia was diagnosed with cancer that is when her star really shone brightly. She taught us all how to live with cancer with joy, love, courage, and always a smile on her face. Cynthia was a true inspiration to all of us in her journey with cancer. Cynthia always said God doesnt give you more than you can handle and she lived by it.
Cynthia was a good and faithful servant. Thank you Lord for sharing her with us for forty-three short years. She will be with you now in the House of the Lord to shine brightly in the heavens as she shone here on earth.
Cynthia is survived by: her loving husband Ron Treptow; three sons: Tobi, Blake and Dirk; her mother-in-law Josephine Treptow; thirteen brothers and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Cynthia was predeceased by her parents Joe and Lynn Bender and by her father-in-law Paul Treptow.
