Obituary of Fay Sloan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Della Fay Sloan on August 27, 2026 at the age of 84 years.

Fay was a beautiful and special person, a beacon of light in our family and community.

She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, aunty, and friend. Her warm spirit and caring ways will truly be missed.

Fay is survived by: son, Rick (Sewaa) Sloan; grandchildren, Austin and Kwame; brother, Brad Gudmundson; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Fay was predeceased by: her loving husband, Lawrence Howard Sloan; son, Tod Sloan; parents, Earl & Milly Gudmundson; and siblings, Lois (Butch) Kendel, Gail (John) Courtice, Glen (Jewel) Gudmundson, Don Gudmundson, Barry Gudmundson and Debbie Gudmundson.

The Celebration of life for Fay will be held at Livelong Hall, Livelong SK, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

Everyone is invited to stay and join the family for lunch following the service.

Donations in memory of Fay may be made to Livelong and District Recreation Association (LADRA).
