Obituary of Donald Shymanski

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Don Shymanski on Aug 25th, 2026, at the age of 79 in Lloydminster, AB.

Don was born on October 26, 1946, being the 3rd of 4 boys. They all grew up on the family farm near Mulhurst, Alberta. Don and Sandy lived on the acreage near Tofield until retirement. After retirement, Don and Sandy moved to their Dream Oasis Cabin near Ricinus, AB in 2006. They enjoyed nothing better than family and friends coming out to enjoy their home with them.  Don's greatest past times included, hunting, fishing, quadding, and just sitting around the fire telling stories.

In 2025, Don and Sandy moved to Lloydminster until Don’s passing.

Left to cherish his memory: his wife, Sandy; children, Tammy (Garry), Tara, Cory(Keri), Jen, Brandy(Nick), Candice(Cote) and Crystal; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Al and Peter (Lucille) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Don was predeceased by: his parents, Alex and Victoria; and brother, Larry. 

A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
