Obituary of Katherine Jean Poitras

Our beloved mother, Katherine Jean Poitras, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026 at the age of 71 surrounded by her daughters. 

She was the eldest daughter of three children, born to Madeleine and Milton Conacher of Turtleford, Saskatchewan.  Kathy’s warmth, laughter, and unconditional love filled our lives with joy. She spent many years caring for others and enjoying time with her grandchildren. She was courageous and tremendously strong throughout her life. Kathy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.  

Kathy is survived by: her mother, Madeleine Conacher; daughters, Jacqueline (Randy) Penner, Jillian Macnab and Lindsey (Rockie) Mitchener; grandchildren, Carina, Rachael, Lena and Gavin; brother, Kim (Chris) Conacher; sister, Karla (Bentley) Brown; and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Kathy was predeceased by: her father, Milton Conacher.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Kathy’s Life at Turtleford Baptist Church, Turtleford, SK on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
