I had the great privilege of living with Nan for several months after I sold my house and before I moved to the States. She welcomed me and treated me just like one of her own. We had many long chats and meals together. She meant so much to me. Fast forward several years later when we moved back to Canada, we bought the house right next door to Kay - Nan's BFF! It was exciting to be able to reconnect with her after all those years.
Wishing all of Nan's loved ones strength while you grieve. She was a big light in that tiny little body.

To Bob and Darlene, Don and Linda and the Batke Family,
Bud and Nan were such great neighbours over the many, many years we lived across the street from each other. I will remember Nan, always with a smile, and an invitation for a cup of tea. She will surely be missed.

To all of Nan’s family,
As all of you know we new all of your family for many past years, Nan was always such a happy person. The last time I had the chance to have a little visit with her was around Christmas time, I happened to meet her and Deanna in a store and then a short time later we ran into each other again in another store. I’ll always remember our accidental meetings and how I enjoyed having that quick visit with her.
She was a wonderful lady.

My dear cousins…there is nothing I can say to take away your profound loss of your Mom. Losing the matriarch of the family is so very hard especially when Auntie Nan was so giving and loving. We are losing that generation of relatives and it is important to keep the family ties tight. I love you all and I am giving you all big hugs.
